Sleep under the stars, out in a Bedouin tent in the heart of the impressive desert of Wadi Rum, 66 in the south of Jordan, which was the setting for many films, including Lawrence of Arabia. Hard to find part more spectacular, especially when the sun disappears behind the sandstone rocks that seem to spring from the sand. Most Bedouin camps are for tourists, which somewhat limits the authenticity of the experience. However, after a feast with roasted meats, what a pleasure to bask in a goatskin tent, surrounded by multicolored rugs and cushions.
Starting from Aqaba or Petra, head to Wadi Rum where the Bedouin will offer to encamp in the wilderness.
